ResizeMint for macOS

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ResizeMint ("ResizeMint," "the app," "we," or "our") handles information when you use the macOS application. It applies to the current version distributed through the Mac App Store.

1. Images and folders you choose

ResizeMint accesses only the images and folders you select, drag into the app, open with the app, authorize for use, or act on through the ResizeMint Finder extension. It processes image pixels and metadata locally to preview, resize, encode, estimate output information, and save the output you request.

Supported image inputs include PNG, JPG, JPEG, HEIC, WebP, and TIFF. ResizeMint does not upload your source images, resized images, filenames, folder paths, or image contents to the developer or to a cloud image-processing service.

2. Information stored locally

ResizeMint stores the minimum local information needed to remember your choices and support its Finder workflow. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

This information is stored on your Mac using Apple platform storage and the app’s shared App Group container. It is not transmitted to the developer.

3. Data collection, tracking, and sharing

4. Finder extension and macOS permissions

ResizeMint includes a Finder extension so it can show resize actions for supported images. macOS requires you to enable the extension. ResizeMint may also ask you to authorize a folder before it can read an image or write a resized copy there.

These permissions are used only to perform the local actions you request. ResizeMint uses the macOS App Sandbox and security-scoped access. Finder integration does not give the developer access to your files.

5. Network access and third parties

ResizeMint’s image-resizing features do not require an internet connection. The app does not include third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud-storage, or AI image-processing services.

If you follow a link from this website to the Mac App Store, Apple handles that visit under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. Apple may separately process App Store purchase, download, diagnostic, or account information. That information is controlled by Apple and is not collected by ResizeMint through the app.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because ResizeMint does not receive your images or personal data, we do not retain a server-side copy and cannot access, recover, or delete local app data for you. Source images and exported images remain in the locations you choose. Preferences, presets, bookmarks, and Finder workflow data remain locally until removed through the app, cleared from macOS storage, or removed with the app’s data.

7. Security

ResizeMint relies on macOS sandboxing and user-selected file permissions to limit access. Keeping processing and settings local reduces exposure to online services, but no local storage method can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting access to your Mac and maintaining backups appropriate for your needs.

8. Children’s privacy

ResizeMint does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other user. The app does not require an account and does not transmit image contents or app preferences to the developer.

9. Changes to this policy

If ResizeMint’s features or data practices change, this policy will be updated before or when the change takes effect. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.

10. Contact

For privacy questions about ResizeMint, please use the developer contact information available from the ResizeMint listing on the Mac App Store. Please do not include private images, local paths, or other sensitive content in a support request.
