DOS Simulator for iPhone & iPad

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DOS Simulator ("DOS Simulator," "the app," "we," or "our") handles information when you use the iOS and iPadOS application. It applies to the current version distributed through the App Store.

1. Game files you import

DOS Simulator accesses only the game archives, folders, and files you select, drag into the app, or authorize for use. It reads and processes these files locally on your device to unpack game data, identify cover art and launch files, run the game, and store your saves.

DOS Simulator does not upload your game files, save states, filenames, folder paths, or game contents to the developer or to any online service.

2. Information stored locally

DOS Simulator stores the minimum local information needed to run your library. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

This information is stored on your device using Apple platform storage. It is not transmitted to the developer.

3. Data collection, tracking, and sharing

4. Cloud-drive import and permissions

DOS Simulator can import games from cloud-drive services. When you connect a service, the app requests access only so it can browse and download the game files you choose. Your credentials are stored in the device Keychain, requests are made directly to the provider from your device, and the developer never receives your account, tokens, or files.

DOS Simulator may also ask you to authorize a folder before it can read game files there. These permissions are used only to perform the local actions you request.

5. Network access and third parties

Playing imported games does not require an internet connection. The app does not include third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud-gaming services.

This website embeds a support and feedback form provided by Tally. If you submit the form, your message is processed by Tally on our behalf; please do not include private game files, paths, or other sensitive content in a support request.

If you follow a link from this website to the App Store, Apple handles that visit under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Apple may separately process App Store purchase, download, diagnostic, or account information. That information is controlled by Apple and is not collected by DOS Simulator through the app.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because DOS Simulator does not receive your game files or personal data, we do not retain a server-side copy and cannot access, recover, or delete local app data for you. Imported games and saves remain on your device until you remove them through the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Removing a cloud-drive account from the app deletes its stored tokens from the Keychain.

7. Security

DOS Simulator relies on the iOS App Sandbox, security-scoped file access, and the Keychain to limit access to your data. Keeping game processing local reduces exposure to online services, but no local storage method can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and for the legality of the game files you use.

8. Children's privacy

DOS Simulator does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other user. The app does not require an account and does not transmit game contents or app preferences to the developer.

9. Changes to this policy

If DOS Simulator's features or data practices change, this policy will be updated before or when the change takes effect. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.

10. Contact
